Rosa glutinosa X palustris

Now that it's in the ground, this little guy is taking off!
Foliage scent is pretty close to glutinosa but slightly different.

Foliage shape is definitely more intermediate between the two species.

  2. Thanks Kim, I'm pretty excited about this one. It's funny but the foliage is looking a lot like sweetbriar right now. And I was smelling the foliage again the other day and it's definitely different from pure glutinosa. This time when I smelled it, it reminded me of the scent of fedtschenkoana foliage. I really liked your description of it - "hardwood smoke and fir" if I'm remembering right? Well, strangely enough this one is very similar.
