ICE!!!

Since we're practically snowed in today with 18-24" forecast (I think we're over a foot already), it seemed about time I posted these ice pictures from our last winter weather "event".
On the species rose, Rosa fedtschenkoana

On our Yoshino cherry... and check out that tree behind the Norway spruces - it's really straining under the weight of all that ice. It sounded like gunshots out there from all the limbs breaking off everywhere.
On a little grand fir Abies grandis.

And then three general icy landscape pictures I thought were pretty.

  1. Wow Tom... these photos bring back some memories! Hope you didn't lose too much in the storms this winter.

  2. I was surprised but we didn't lose too awful much here. Just East of here it looked like a tornado had come through, there were so many downed trees.
